aCan anyone point me iin a right direction.

I have 3 Security groups created in our Active directory system. I cannot
get the members of these groups successfully authenticated to the Reports
Server. here is the break down:

In Active Directory
Group Name: MD.ALL.HRA
Members:
John Doe
Jane Doe

Group Name: MD.ALL.HRD
Peter Doe
Paul Doe

Group Name:
MD.APP.ReportingServiceUsers
MD.ALL.HRA
MD.ALL.HRD

In reality each group as over a hundred users. I am using these existing
groups to manage access to the reports server by adding them to another
group. Fairly basic.

On the Reporting Server:

Home directory, Properties tab;

I have added the Group MD.APP.ReportingServiceUsers with our domain prefix
tcco\MD.APP.ReportingServiceUsers

It resolves and shows up.

No one can access the server. (except admins)

I did some reading and it was suggested to add the domain groups to the
local user group.

No one can access the server. (except admins)

I added a Domain user to the Local User group and to the Reports server,
this person could access the server, and the group security held for all of
the directories even though I did not specify the security by that user.

Once the user has authenticated against the server, I can remove them from
the local user group, and from the Report Server as a named user, and the
group access and permissions stick.

I find this behavior odd and terribly difficult to manage. Has anyone got
any ideas on how to remedy this. Thanks.

Try restarting the report services service. This should pull in the AD
groups

Yeah, I rebooted the server a couple of times. Thanks for your input.
