sql server reporting services: Hi,

my customer has setup a lot of lists (tables) in Sharepoint. As far as
I saw it's possible to connect MS ACCESS via Windows
SharpointSerivces() but for ReportingServices I couldnt find such data
provider.

How is it possible to setup RS reports on top of this data? Which Data
link could be used?

thanks a lot

best regards

BB

Are you using SPS 2003 then you have a special webpart for accessing RS, you
need to follow the steps given in that webpart for installation. it is a bit
tedious.

Or just visit bryant's blog you have a step by step guide to implement RS on
SPS.

Hi,

unfortunately, all the mentioned blogs and documents are about HOW CAN
I SEE/ USE Reporting Services Reports in my Sharepoint portal.

What I'd like to do is to access the Sharepoint server data (especially
the lists) for reporting from my seperate Reporting Services Server.

My expectation was that there is a standard data source provider in RS
that works with the Sharepoint HTTP WebServices as it is already
available for ACCESS & Excel ?????

Any ideas are welcome.

Hi,
We have developed a Reporting Services Data Processing Extension that
lets you build reports from SharePoint lists data.
Depending on your needs, you may be interested by the free Community
Edition version or the commercial Standard Edition.
You can download the Community Edition (or an evaluation of the
Standard Edition) on our site:
