sql server reporting services:
We have a sql reporting server which has existing rs reports installed. Is
it possible to open those directly from vs.net?

With a sql rs project in vs.net is it possible to open existing sql rs
report (pointing to existing sql rs server?)

thx

I opened the rdl in vs.net 2005 and it said it would only open after
converting. I am assuming from this that it may have been created with
vs.net 2003 report designer.
Do you know where i can get report designer for vs.net 2003?

thank you for your quick reponse.

You need to have report designer (2000 for 2000 reports, 2005 for 2005
reports). Assuming you do, then in Report Manager click on the report,
properties tab and then I don't remember exactly, perhaps edit button?
Anyway, there is a button to click, you will then give where you want to
save it and the rdl is saved. At that point have a business intelligence
project (for reports) and add an existing item to it.

The report designer for VS.2003 is in the Client Tools section of the RS
2000 installation. You need to get a version of the RS 2000 installation,
run it on a computer with VS2003 and only install the Report Designer.
