sql server reporting services:
Hi,
I have RS 2005 installed on two different servers. One is x86 and other is
x64.
The rest of the server configuration is exactly same. Build version is 2153.
They both in the same network subnet and are accessing data from different
subnet.

I have about 10-12 reports which are identical on both servers with data
source, execution, history settings.
Still the x86 report works faster then x64.
The x64 report takes long time to display results and most of the time
throws error as "The selected report is not ready for viewing. The report is
still being rendered or a report snapshot is not available.
(rsReportNotReady) " or internal error please check the error log.

Please help me resolve this issue.

And you are POSITIVE that you didn't install Reporting Services x86 on the
64bit box? You can do that - which is why I am asking. I would expect this
kind of behavior if it was doing WoW mode - i.e. 32 bit app on 64bit
machine.

Otherwise, like you, I am at a loss to explain the performance disparity.

Start up PerfMon on the 64 bit box.
Kick off the report that it taking awhile to run.
While it is rendering the report - what is your Avg. Disk Queue Length,
Pages/sec, % Processor time?

=-Chris
