sql server reporting services : HTML in Data

Greetings All:

We have a need to store and display rich-text using HTML tags. It
appears Reporting Services can not render output with tags.

I have found posts more than a year old that confirm this, but nothing
more recent - is this still the case? If so, is there any word on
including this capability?

Thanks,

That's interesting, but I'm not sure it does. That article seems to
describe how to format a report for HTML output, not how to display
HTML embedded in data in the output.

For example, if I have a record that returns Product_Desc as "New,
<strong>improved</strong>, and better than ever", when I build the
report, it displays: "New, <strong>improved</strong>, and better than
ever" rather than bolding the word "improved".

Thanks,

Thanks for your help!

I'm thinking we may have to scrap the roll-out of Reporting Services
until this is added :(

I'm loving everything else in v2005, but this is a complete
show-stopper.

Does this help?

Yeah, upon further reading I noticed that as well. I am inclined to say no,
simply because of the potential security issues that can arise (with passing
in scriptlines and such).

I'm looking to do the same thing. Have you found a solution, perhaps?

Thanks
