sql server reporting services:
Why not just supply a default value for each prompt, that way if they skip
it, the report will run with the default values?

Or am I missing something?

Is there a way in Reporting Services to create an optional multivalue prompt
whereby the user does not need to do anything to the prompt to completely
skip it. For example, let's say a report has the following prompts:
Year
Month
Country
State
City

If the user wants to complete the Year prompt and State prompt, is there a
simple way to bypass the Month, Country and City prompts without having to
select anything? I'm told that the Null option does not work on multivalue

To customize to your need use the steps followed in the book on Hitchacker
guide to Reporting Service 2000. They have a seperate chapter on providing
MultiSelect parameter. definetely that will help.
