sql server reporting services:
Hello,
I have a main report that calls a subreport. In report manager, when I
drill from the main report to the subreport, everything is fine. However,
when I hit the IE back button I get a blank page. If I hit back again the
main report displays. This problem just started happening within the last
month. In the past I only had to hit back once. This problem occurs in
every report. Does anyone know why this is happening all of a sudden?
Maybe a MS patch is the cause?
FYI: I am using windows server 2003 with SQL SERVER/RS 2000 with latest
service packs.

Thanks,
Dan

I have discovered that security patch KB916281
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916281) has caused this problem. It was
originally installed on June 19th. After I removed this hot fix, the back
button functioned as desired. Uninstalling this patch is not a feasable
solution. Does anyone know of a solution? Microsoft?

Thanks,
Dan

I am having the same problem, but have not tried uninstalling the patch.

Has anyone seen a fix for this?

Steve

Un-installing the security fix does correct the problem, however our network
guys aren't hip to un-installing it. We called Microsoft with one of our
calls but they don't consider it a bug.

If anybody comes up with something, let me know.

Alec,

Now that's amusing.. You hit the back button, get a blank page and it's not
a bug.

Thanks for the info.

Good luck...

Steve

Does anyone know of an update that will fix this?
It really does detract from the overall feel of the product.

Thanks...

Steve
