sql server reporting services : 32 Bit Repoting Server - 64 Bit DB Server

Am I correct in assuming that there would not be any problems with running a
64 Bit version of SQL Server 2005 on one box, and a 32 Bit Version for

Yes. This is a common distributed configuration.
