sql server reporting services:
Hi,

I have made a custom web application in .NET and i use URL method to
connect to Report Server and Render my Report.

After my report is rendered on the explorer i use the Reporting service
ToolBar to export the Report and save in Excel , this opens one pop
window asking me to either open or save the report.
After i choose to save the report , the pop up window does not close .
It should automatically close after the report is exported to excel .

Is this a bug in sql server reporting services 2000 ?

Please tell me if there is any work around
for this.

TIA

Shuchi.

That should be the standard IE dialog that shows up when content is pushed
to the browser that isn't set up to be handled by IE (like when you click on
a link for an MSI file or other non-IE handled file). There should be an
option on the dialog to automatically close the window when the download
completes. Check it off and it should close for you.

I have a similar problem but the pop up dialog box does dissappear when I
click an option however I am left with a blank IE explorer window.

Any thoughts as how to make it close down automatically or even better not
displaying this blank window from the start of export.

Thanks
Scott
