when i work with a report in visual studio with a document map, it displays
all members in the report on the map.
when the report is deployed to report server, it has the document map but
only displays the top 20 or so (first visible page) members and i can't
scroll down past the top 20.

Server.

We're planning on upgrading from sql server 2000 to 2005 and we're hoping
that SRS 2000 .rdl files will run on sql server 2005.
Can anyone confirm if this is the case or not.

Alternate row colors by group

I have a report in which the results are grouped. For example, the report
returnd 25 rows, the first 5 rows are one group (lets say all 'A's, the
second 5 rows are another group (lets say all 'B's), etc...
Can I add conditional formatting to alternate the backgroup color based on
groups?

RS2005 crashing...stupid error

For some reason, our reports will just stop working...randomly.
It basically tells us it can't connect to our record sets. The report works
in the designer.
Also, if we re-deploy the report it starts working! Even if we don't change

Removing A List

I have the following nested structure:
List 1
---List 2
-------Matrix
I don't need List 1 anymore in the report. However, if i delete List1 then
List2 and the Matrix disappears from the layout as well. How can i remove
List1 without deleting List2 and Matrix....

RowNumber reset at start of each grouping

I'm creating a report where I'd like to list out the lines of the report. I
deceided to use RowNumber function but it is keeping a running total when I
use it like this: RowNumber(Nothing)

that post concerned putting ss2000 and ss2005 on the same server, i found
out that was fine, which brings me to my next question.
would it be ill conceived to also run reporting services 2005 on this

I have a report that displays group totals and grand totals but no detail
lines. There is nothing in the group header. I made the height of the group
header as small as possible but there is still too much room between the rows
