Hi I was browsing for something else (report model memory leaks) when I
found your problem so I thought I'd help you out, the application pool needs
access to various databases and to the web config folder. Try seting up the
web site & service app pool again via the config tool and this should grant
what you need. Might be better to scrub everything and start again if you've
played around with it a lot, I've had this working on various servers
without problems.

best of luck,

Thanks for the advice. I'm redoing the server again. What is the best order
to install these two apps? SharePoint first and then SQL - or SQL first then
SharePoint?
Thanks, I'll post again if this works.
