sql server reporting services:
Hi - We recently upgraded from SQL Server 2000 to 2005. I made backup copies of my reports in SSRS 2000 format. I then opened the original reports in SSRS 2005 and they were then converted automatically. The reports run fine, but when I print them, they won't print. Instead I get several pages of garbage with the header, "PCL XL error, Subsystem: USERSTREAM, Error: MissingData, Operator: ReadImage, Position: 2508". Does anyone know what the problem might be? -- Thanks,
you have to delete the active-x class for the RS2000 print control to install the new RS2005 class. to do that in the browser -> internet option -> General tab - Setting button -> View Object button -> delete the RSClientPrint class. Now do the print preview on report you will be prompted to install the latest RS2005Client Print class. install it and you are good to go. Hi Bava, I forgot to mention that I'm having the report printing problems in report designer, not report manager. Would your fix take care of that, too? -- Thanks, Jeff [quoted text, click to view] "Bava Mani" wrote: > you have to delete the active-x class for the RS2000 print control to install > the new RS2005 class. to do that in the browser -> internet option -> General > tab - Setting button -> View Object button -> delete the RSClientPrint class. > Now do the print preview on report you will be prompted to install the > latest RS2005Client Print class. install it and you are good to go. > > "Jeff Stroope" wrote: > > > Hi - We recently upgraded from SQL Server 2000 to 2005. the fix i said is for report manager. if it is for report designer i think you have to re install the report designer to correct the component related to the print.
