When i run my report from Win App with a Report Viewer control
("Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportViewer"), over a XP machine, i got this
error:

"The request failed with HTTP status 504: Gateway Time-Out"

it seems as though the connection between RS and IIS is slowed for
some reason. Possibly due to the amount of data in the report (just an
educated guess). Hopefully this is helpful.

Hello Laurahn,

Where is your remote report server? Did that server in the same domain with
your application?

If you put a html file in your IIS virtual directory and access to the IIS
server directly, did you get the same error?

Hi:

The problem was with ip addressing. Here in my intranet, i have to use the
dns for server report, instead of ip address, for the server URL of the
reportviewer control.
