sql server reporting services: You probably need to change the login in Reporting Services Configuration
manager to your new password (or change the login account to a domain
system account that does not have a password expiration policy associated
with it

We have windows authentication set up on our report server which we
have been using for a couple of years now. Recently it started to pop
up a dialog box asking for my user name and password after I had
changed my password on the domain. Since I am an administrator on the
domain, I did a test and set my password back to my old password.
This isn't normally possible as we aren't allowed to repeat our last 6
passwords. After setting it back, it no longer prompts for the user
name/password. I changed my password to a new one, and it prompts for
user name and password once again. Any ideas on how to fix this?

It is only occurring on the PC I normally use on a daily basis. If I
go to
another PC, report manager opens fine with my new password. I have
tried clearing all the info in the Internet Explorer (version 7) cache
as well as
rebooting the PC and neither worked. It still keeps on asking for a
user
name/password when trying to access it.

Is the report server in your intranet-zone? Have you activated automatically
login in the intranet-zone?

Stefan

The report server is in the intranet-zone and automatic login is
enabled.
