sql server reporting services : Render issue with footer reportitems

I have reportitems in my footer which reference fields embedded in a table.
If I set the fields in the table to hidden since I do not want to display
them there, even though they appear to display as expected in the footer,
when I render the output to pdf or anything else the data does not show in
the footer. Is there a fix for this somewhere please as to resize the column
to minimum size is to say the least a little bit 'tacky'.

In fact after 'living with the resizing of the reportitems dummy fields in
the table I have now found a SHOW STOPPER. The rendering of SOME of the
reportitems in the footer of the report although appears to display on
screen, when render to PDF they are not seen at all! This almost makes SSRS
unusable for us. We need to be able to render to PDF and expect to be able to
see all the footer and other content we have crafted into the report layout.
Can someone please get back urgently with a fix for this I have run windows
update yesterday so should be on the latest patches.

IN FACT I HAVE AN UPDATE MEETING WITHIN THE NEXT FEW MINUTES
UK GMT 21/9/2007 11:30am - Would be good to have a positive report on this
whole thing please
Reply urgently please to steve.giergiel@aveva.com
