Who should I make the owner?

Hi everyone,
I often move databases from home to work whilst developing. I'm always faced
with the choice of who to make the owner of the database when reattaching.
I normally make it SA just for ease of use but I'm wondering what best

Hi,
I set my SQL Server Audit mode to "All" and now my event log file is almost
12 MB.
THe Enterprise manager does not open that log file to view it.
I changed the Audit level "Failure" But as I found that it does not come in
to effect until we restart the SQL services.

When i view a date on sql 6.5 it is showing as '22 Nov 2004 14:50', if
however i convert it to char 109 it gives me the full date ie 'Nov 22 2004
2:50:56:477PM'. Is there a setting on either the pc or sql that is causing

Hi NG!
I wrote a stored procedure which at first deletes 100.000 rows and then
inserts 100.000 new rows.
There is a huge difference between executing this SP in the
query-analyzer (runtime approx. 2 minutes), and scheduling this SP as an

pivots a table. When I put this in a view, it takes about 6-7 seconds to

Ok, you can forget my question about "ROW SIZE"
I found out that a row can only have a maximum of 8060 bytes.
So here is what I need to do.
Break my table up into 2 parts. Some data in one table, the rest in

This is a weird one....
SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition, SP3a, MS03-031 (818).
Dell 2650, Dell 220 Powervault (scsi attached), 4GB ram, SQL Server uses
~2.7GB dynamic.
