asp.net mobile : How to save a bmp as .gif in CE SQLdatabase

Is it only possible to work with .bmp in CE or is .gif also possible?
How to do this?
And how to as .gif file to memory card?

You should be able to use a binary type in the db and use your favorite
api for converting bitmaps.
