dotnet clr: Hello,

Does anyone know why I keep getting this msg everytime I save a *.cs file?

"This file has been modified outside of the source editor. Do you want to
reload it?"

Thank you very much

Just tried that and made sure that no index services running but still have
the same problem. If I click yes, the collapsed outlining of file
disappear.

Any other ideas?

This means that some other process "touched" your .cs file.

Some virus scanners do this. If so get .cs files excluded from online
scanning.

Click Tools, then Options.
On the option tree click Environment, then Documents
Uncheck the box labeled "Detect when file is changed outside the
environment.

That will stop the message, but won't check if someone changed the file
you're working with.

Index Service will read but not modify the file. SOMETHING is modifying the
file. Are you using source control? which one?

I would not turn off the "monitor file" option until you know what's going
on.
hope this helps.
