No idea, based on that description. What Show() method, for a start?
Please post some short sample code that allows us to reproduce the problem.

My guess is that while you're working on that short sample code, you'll
probably figure out what the issue is, or at least where it comes from. An
application behaving differently when compiled for debug or release is
rather suspicious - most likely you're either stumbling upon a bug in the
CLR or you're doing something really weird yourself.
