dotnet compact framework : Compiling CF.NET apps from the commandline?

Hi,

I just bought an HP5550, dl'ed the Pocket PC 2003 SDK and thought I was
ready to go developing apps for my pda. But msdn seems to indicate that
Pocket PC 2003 developing requires VS.NET 2003 Professional. Isn't it
possible to do it with it?
googling turned up some suspecious looking diy and a brief hint from an MVP
that developing is possible using the commandline. However nothing solid.
Has anyone a link or tutorial to pocket pc 2003 app development without
VS.NET (assuming that it's possible of course).

Regards,
-f

You need Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional Edition or higher (not the
single language VB.NET or C# products). See the FAQ for details:-

You can download eMbedded Visual C++ if you want to do native development
from http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/device/embedded/download.aspx.

If you want to target the .NET Compact Framework, you'll need to get Visual
Studio .NET 2003.

Thank you very much.

A bit disappointing.
