Hi guys,

I've been searching the web for a while looking for some simple answers, and
I thought that maybe you could help me fill in some blanks.

My current goal is to develop a solution with a single code base that could
ideally be used across multiple platforms..

The platforms I want to look at are:
-Windows Mobile
-Blackberrys
-Palm OS (maybe)

So my question to you is. Are there plans to make the .NET CF available on
these other operating systems (eventually). I heard a rumor that palm os was
licensing something with the .net cf, but whether or not it's true i don't
know.

Also. Do you know if the java environment can be run on windows mobile
devices. Mainly I'm looking at J2ME using MIDP.

Palm will be selling a Windows Mobile device - but it's inherently not
PalmOS. RIM won't have CF support - probably ever. Java is actually
probably a good shot here (though the JVMs will be disparate and you're
going to have to do a *lot* of compatibility testing).

Palm has launched Treo 700 running on windows mobile 5.0 and it made
quite a news. If you have missed that you can check out:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/5/palm.mspx

Also you can find many interesting stories and images too if you google
treo 700.
