dotnet compact framework:
AFAIK Hood Canal does not exist as a business entity effective mid 2005. I
am not aware of any arrangements that the owner/operator has made regarding
the support and update program.

Does anyone know if this company exists anymore?

I had purchased their Signature Capture Control 3.0 a while ago. I would
like to purchase this one:
Capture Control version 3.1 Professional for the .NET Compact Framework.

But I cannot seem to find their product on Handango and their website seems
to be gone now...

www.hoodcanalmobility.com , well, the site exists but the software isn't
there. Anyone know where I could purchase this?

Thanks

James

James,

There was a thread in December 2005 about this. I think that general
consensus is that they are gone (someone please correct me otherwise).
There are some other options out there for signature capture controls:

Thanks for the feedback.

I was pretty sure they were gone and I had searched the group but had not
found what I thought was a definitive answer.
I've already explored using the SDF Signature control...should be easy
enough. My client however would prefer a commercial solution, especially
when the SDF Signature control is officially unsupported.

We do offer paid support for the SDF.

Thanks for that information, I hadn't really looked into the support option.
I did notice this line:

OpenNETCF.Windows.Forms.Signature

in the ...Smart Device Framework\unsupportedcontrols.txt file, so I thought
it was basically unsupported.

I'm not terribly worried about it because I think the signature control is
fine for our purposes, I had evaluated it before we went with the HoodCanal
control. My client chose the commercial product (incorrectly believing
support would be available because it was a commercial product.)

Thanks again

James
