dotnet compact framework: All you have to do is *install* Virtual PC, you don't actually have to
create any virtual machines on your computer. I went through this a month
or so ago. Installed it and no problem; the driver is there and there's no
other side-effects, other than some space used on the disk.

Hi

i am looking for a "Virtual Machine network Driver",
because the installation of a Standalone Emulator
shows me that this is required. (under VM)
i will run the Standalone Emulator on a XP and on a
VM (with XP)
So what can i do. ?
On microsoft site i can see that it is only avaiable
with Virtual PC. But i am willing to run the emulator
on a XP machin witout installing a VPC.
Any help and email with this driver is wellcome

Rainer

I want to use standalone emulator to test my mobile application without taking help of VS2005. I am using Device Emulator V3.0 for Windows mobile 6. I have installed my application's .cab into it. But I encoutered error message. When i was seen details I got Null reference Exception. I felt that this is due to the NETCF problem. I am working on XP.Is Virtual Machine network Driver is responsible for failure of my application or there is another problem......Help me.

Can you provide some more details on the code that is running when this
error occurs? Are you trying to access network resources? If so, are you
using ActiveSync and Device Emulator Manager to connect the emulator to the
network? Nothing you've provided indicates a need for VMND, but you haven't
provided much information...
