dotnet component services: Hello,

We have a COM+ application where the Activate method of one of our COM+ components is not being called reliably.

I understand from the following that this is to be expected:

I also understand that there is sort of a work around:

What I don't understand is why this happens and what the real purpose of the Activate method is, if it is not called reliably.

We use Activate to initialize our objects and when it isn't called our objects failed. Do we misunderstand the contract?
