Roberto, to home in on your problem, a few more details are needed.
What OS are you running? Win XP Home, Win XP Pro or Win 2000 Pro?
Is Internet Information Services (IIS) installed on your PC? If so, was it
installed before you installed Visual Studio .NET?
If convenient, please quote the entire error message you receive when you
attempt to create a new ASP.NET project.
To create ASP.NET projects in Visual Studio .NET, you must have IIS
installed and running on your development PC, and Visual Studio .NET must be
properly mapped to IIS. Or, you must have access to a remote IIS server with
appropriate permissions. If you are running Windows XP Home, you'll need
access to a remote server, as IIS does not come with Home Edition.
