I'm new to .NET.
When I try ti compile a simple program/form in VB Studio.NET I get no error messages
My program/form will however not rum properly. The program runs (it's process is shown in taskmanager) but doesn't come up on screen. And the VB Studio.NET will stop working/answer and I will have to close it down through taskmanager to be able to try again
Why does this happen? What am I missing
Please help, I cant find anything in the VB Studio.NEt help

Thanks in advance

It sounds to me like your Visual Studio .NET is not properly installed. But,
without more information, I'm guessing.
What edition/version of Visual Studio .NET do you have, and which version of
Windows are you running? Was the source of your Visual Studio .NET a retail
box/CD's or from a MSDN subscription?
When you installed Visual Studio .NET, were there any error/warning
messages?
And, just to be sure we understand:
You are saying that when you create a simple VB solution, say, a Windows
application with one form and a label on it, and no code other than that
generated by the IDE, that the application runs, but the form is not
displayed?
If this is not the case, which template are you using for your project when
this failure occurs?
There are so many possibilities that details are needed to narrow things
down.
