I believe the answer depends on whether you mean a .NET-specific language,
or a language available in Visual Studio capable of producing .NET
applications.
If the former, I would agree with Jamie that, today, it's probably C#.
Having said that, there are indications that C++ is receiving more attention
in Visual Studio 2005 and subsequent releases and *may* become the
preeminent .NET language.
If the latter, I'd say C++, hands down. The ability to produce all sorts of
applications in, and outside of, .NET sets it apart.
