IIS install

IIS install JMorrell

dotnet academic:
I was installing .NET Academic and could not go forward with installing IIS
because I don't have the original OS CD. Is it critical that I have it for
the install and if so, is there a way around it. My pc is a few years old
and the CD got lost in a move.

IIS is only critical if you intend to develop ASP.NET web projects and
intend to use the local instance of IIS as your web server.
AFAIK, the only available source for IIS is your install CD, but I hope
somebody has an alternate possibility if you really need it.

Which OS are you using?. If its an XP then look for any XP OS cd relevant to
your XP then go to installing copmonents. From ther you find a list of
components to insatll then click on IIS and look down on your right where you
find details then click on it. It will take you another list of components of
IIS then click the one you want to use.

I think this might be helpful.
