Perhaps you could start by giving us information on anything done to your
system between the time the controls were last visible and now. Any software
installed? Anything downloaded? Is your anti-virus and anti-malware software
up to date? What do scans show?
Also, what project type and template are you using, and if you try a
different project type/template, are the controls still not visible?
Are the controls not visible when the project is in design mode, run mode,
or both?
If you start a new project, are the controls visible in that project?
Providing these kinds of details will lead to better answers.
