i believe it works only with .net 2.0. designer support is different because
of changes in language such as partial classes and thus it wouldn't work
properly with older versions of framework. also you better get rid of other
related software such as older versions of sql server. anyway, why would you
want to use .net 1.1 if the newer version has so much more to offer? ;)
