dotnet academic: Hello,

I upgraded my computer to Windows XP home edition from Windows 2000
proffesional. I tried reinstalling VB .NET academic version again but when
it prompts me to insert the Windows component disk I put the WCU disk in and
it tells me I have inserted the wrong disk. It did not do this with Win2K.
Has anyone had this happen to them or know how to work around this problem?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

I haven't used .NET 2002 but I'm sure it's a bit dated now. Why don't you
give a try to new .NET Framework 2.0? Since you're VB programmer it might
interest you that Visual VB.NET Express is free for download on MS site with
tons of other stuff. You don't have to buy newest ad the most expensive
Visual Studio 2005, the Express edition should do. Or if you want you may
purchase Visual Studio Standard Academic for 50$. Just visit >>
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/default.aspx and find out for
yourself
