dotnet academic: Tried to update my virus scan, could not, deleted and attempted to installed
Bit Defender, would not install completely. To make a very long story short,
I used system restore to get back to my original virus scan and have lost my
D drive, the system restore and add or remove programs will not work. When I
turn on computer get the message: Windows cannot find C:\WINDOWS/Nail.exe and
Windows cannot find [] [] [] []' there is a little arrow above the first box
and the second box actually looks like a floppy disk. I have deleted lots of

It's time for a repair install from your original Windows distribution CD
(or, DVD, if you're running Vista).
As you don't say what version of Windows you are running, these suggestions
are general in nature.

Set your BIOS so your optical drive is the first boot device. Insert your
Windows media, then reboot (or boot) your system. Follow the prompts to
select a repair install of your OS.

Once you get it running, don't delete any files unless *you know for sure
what they are and that they are not needed*!
