dotnet academic: I am running Windows 98SE, and any software such as my printer disk will not
download and install. The green light keeps flashing but nothing happens.

Where should I look? Not even the free trial games on AOL will download.
I'm scared to try my restore disk incase it does something, and then I won't
have a computer. Thanks for replying!

What do you see if you look at the content of the CD in Windows Explorer?
Are the drive and the media recognized?
If so, try to find a file named setup.exe and double-click on it. Does that
start the program?

OK, then you need in-person tech support that cannot be supplied via a forum
such as this. I suggest you find a competent local tech and allow the tech
to analyze your PC's issues.
