I see that it is possible to automate outlook with the
automation object for office msoutl.olb

Unfortunatly Office isn't installed on my computer.

Is it possible to automate outlook using an other way ?

François,
To automate Outlook you need to have Outlook installed, if Outlook is
installed then msoutl.olb will be installed. More importantly the .dll that
msoutl.olb references will be installed.

What exactly are you attempting to do?

Hope this helps
Jay

automatically the unwanted mail

"To automate Outlook you need to have Outlook installed"

I have not found msoutl.dll and .olb but i have found=20
msoe.dll and msoe.olb. Is it somthing similar ?

François,
It sounds like you have Outlook Express 6 installed on your computer.

msoe.dll is part of Microsoft Outlook Express.

msoutl.olb is part of Microsoft Outlook.

Microsoft Outlook is NOT Microsoft Outlook Express.

Microsoft Outlook you can automate, Microsoft Outlook Express you cannot.

Although there is a typelib associated with Microsoft Outlook Express it is
not useful for automation.

Hope this helps
Jay
