dotnet odbc.net: Hello,
Problem: Trying to deploy a .Net application using ADO and MSAccess DB. But, MDAC 2.8 doesn't contain the Jet 4.0 engine.

Althou I'm currently using Windows 2000, I'm using a newer version of Jet 4.0. (I checked) than the Windows XP computer that I'm deploying to. I believe this is causing the following error on the XP machine since it does'nt happen on the W2000:

Oledberror: System.data.Oledb.OledbException: Data Type mismatched in criteria expression...

MDAC 2.8 Doesn't contain the latest Jet 4.0 files, and I did not find a Merge Module that did.
Is there a workarond? Or, There is a .msm and i looked in the wrong place?

Thanks Paul,

I have already downloaded the Jet Service Packs. Now to get the deployment utility of Visual Studio .NET to check the machine's OS and Jet version and execute/distribute the correct upgrade. That is why I was hoping for a Merge Module (.msm) or similar.

Unfortunately Microsoft doesn't produce a merge module for MDAC or the Jet components. The
versioning issue with respect to MDAC, Jet and Windows is a kind of a mess.
