I have a .NET client application which is trying to connect to an Informix
database via SQL Retriever 4.17

I am experiencing an error message which was supposed to have been corrected
in v4.17 of the ODBC driver:

'ERROR [IM003] Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1114
(SCO Vision ODBC).'

Does anyone have an idea of how I can overcome this issue.

IIRC, 1114 was an unusual error which only occurred in very rare and
unusual circumstances and was equally elusive to reproduce in order to
be able to solve it. It seemed to revolve around software on the PC
(various libraries that were and weren't available when compiled and/or
later installed in the wild). That is not to say it cannot reoccur.
Has the PC ever worked? What changed? Does another PC work? I'd be
inclined to double-check that an old VWODBC32.DLL hasn't crept in/stayed
behind (right-click the DLL to find the version info).
