I am getting an error "Failed to parse toolbar definition
file" each time I load Internet Explorer in XPP.

Can anyone suggest how I can restore that file.

Myron,

One of my users had this error on her PC. I removed the error by
uninstalling some software called "SupaSearch Toolbar". I suspect any
other browser toolbar software may cause similar problems.

Hope that helps.

Andrew

I concur with the reply - one of my users had the exact same error, and
had a third party tool bar installed. When I right clicked on the
toolbar, I saw an entry called "toolbar" that had a check by it. I
clicked it to uncheck it, reopened IE and the error went away. I right
clicked again on the toolbar, put the checkmark back in "toolbar" and
the error came back. This is obviously a third party toolbar, as this
option is not present on a vanilla installation of IE in XP. Look for
any unusual toolbar entries, and take the checkmark out.
