I'm sure this isn't the best place to put this, but I don’t know of another
place where I'll get performance people to see it.

I'm wanting to try and put together a Seattle (and surrounding areas)
Software Performance User Group. Basically a way for us Performance folks to
get together and share ideas and maybe get some speakers from surrounding
companies to come talk.

People who might be interested? Performance engineers, programmers who
spend time investigating perf issues, performance testers. Basically anybody
who works with software performance in one capacity or another on a regular
bases (or not!).

What kind of stuff we might cover? Performance testing and automated
testing, performance test result storage and reporting, profiling, tools,
troubleshooting and investigation, best practices, design patterns / anti
patterns, code analysis, code and database performance issues, what is .Net
doing behind the scenes, what is SQL Server doing behind the scenes.
Anything else?

My main goal for this kind of group would be a place where we can share the
lessons we've learned, ask questions problems that we might have, and create
a local community of performance professionals.

Would anyone in the Seattle area be interested in getting involved in
