How do you set a remoting client to use impersonation programmatically?
Posted by jim.craig43@tiscali.co.uk at 11/22/2007 12:58:17 PM
I know how to do this with a config file, trouble is I'm not using the config file settings ( for various reasons that I won't go into here) - there seems to be no documentation on this anywhere. I would have thought that tokenImpersonationLevel would be a property of the TcpChannel class - but...more >>

Hello gurus ;) My objective: Create a server app which exposes a single class to other client apps. I do not want to use a config file, so I went for an Interface approach. In my server app I created an interface, which is implemented by a class. This interface is also available in the clie...more >>

I want to be able to use .Net Remoting in order for a client to call a remote object on a server, and then have the server update a control in a form based on that call. From what I can tell, when an object runs on the server it does not know anything about the application that it is running in...more >>

Hi All, I have a scenario where i make a secondary AppDomain to load in a type from a dll I have. The type that I load in (with AppDomain.CreateInstanceAndUnwrap(string, string)) inherits from an interface which is known in the initial domain. When i convert this object back to it's int...more >>

Real object instantiated instead of transparent proxy?

Hi, first of all, I'd have to mention that I don't have much experience with remoting (and I'm afraid this will get obvious below ;-) I have one problem that's bugging me: I have a server activated object hosted in a windows service application (that part is working fine). The problem is...more >>
