dotnet setup : IIS 6.0 and .NET SDK 1.1

I have run the install for 1.1 on Windows 2003 although it
does not seem to update IIS 6.0. When I start a new
asp.net application on IIS 6.0 I get a dialog box stating
that:

VS .NET has detected that the specified Web server is not
running ASP.NET version 1.1. You will be unable to run
ASP.NET Web applications or services.

I am running VS 2003. How do I configure IIS 6.0 for
the .NET Framework 1.1?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated...

Hi Stan,

ASP.NET 1.1 is a built-in component in Windows Server 2003 so you do not
need to install the .NET SDK 1.1 to run ASP.NET. Could you please go to
Control Panel --> Add/Remove Program --> Add/Remove Windows Component -->
Application Server --> Details and see if ASP.NET is checked. If not could
you please choose ASP.NET and then update. If your installation of ASP.NET
is successful, you can go to Administrative Tools --> IIS Manager --> Web
Service Extensions and you will see ASP.NET 1.1.4322 listed as allowed.
