ASP.NET version 1.1 problem

dotnet setup: I have .NET framework 1.1 installed in our Win2K server with IIS 5.0.
Because of the blaster Worm, I had to uninstall the Proxy server several
times and during the process I might have reversed the IIS settings to an
earlier configuration.
Now that when I tried to open an ASP.NET solution on the server, it gave me
the error:
"VS .NET has detected that teh specified Web server is not running ASP.NET
version 1.1 You will be unable to run ASP.NET Web applications or services."
I reinstalled .NET framework 1.1 again and got the same error message.
Please help !

Bill,

It sounds to me like you need to re-register ASP.NET with IIS. Please run
aspnet_regiis.exe, located in your .NET Framework installation directory.
