dotnet setup:

I have a windows 2000 small business server with IIS 5 installed with
".NET Components update" from VS.NET but I don't have installed VS on
this machine.
On my workstation I have Win XP home edition with VS.NET installed
with frontpage extensions.

I can't execute aspx files . I read a few articles here explaining
that this problem could be due to a bad mapping between IIS and
aspnet_isapi.dll or a registration problem with aspnet_regiis.exe. I
have followed the instructions that microsoft has given on its site to
solve the problem that the aspx files are still not executed.

do someone have another advice for me in order to solve this problem.

Hi Eric

First question is have you installed the .NET Framework on the server
running IIS? I'm not sure if the '.NET Components Update' you mention is
the complete .NET Framework which is required to run ASP.NET pages.

I suggest you download the Framework and install it anyway. Installing this
should also set aspx pages to be interpreted through 'aspnet_isapi.dll'.
