when I attempted to install the MSDN Library, I got the following error:

Error 1305.Error reading from file: C:\Program Files\MSDN\2003JAN\1033\_vsmsdnloc.hxq. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Try wiping the bottom of the CD with a very soft cloth. Something you
would use to wipe eye glass lenses. Very Gently and in a circular motion.

If the installation still fails, you will want to contact Microsoft Product
Support @ 800-936-5800.
