Hi,

There is currently a.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Tech Preview available
at microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=12721880-CB9F-4481-9610-987DE96532E7&displaylang=en

I don't really get it I guess, but this looks not to be a 'real' Service
Pack? Is it some kind of Beta Release or what? And should I install it on my
client computers or not? I only use VB.NET-applications. Or should I wait
until the 'real' SP? Or isn't it really necessary to isntall it?

Any info regarding this subject would be nice!

Thanks a lot in advance,

Pieter

I would not install on a production machine, unless you are having the
particular problems in the SP and need to get around an issue. Wait for the
final release, if not.

Ok thanks!
And are there new features or just bugfixes?

Hi,
It is not the final SP, but just a preview of what will be available in the
final SP. You might want to install this on a dev PC just to see what is new
in the new SP (you can always uninstall it).

I would suggest not to install the preview version on the client computers
now. Rather wait till the final version is released.
