dotnet setup: Hi,

I installed .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 on Windows 2000 server.

The installation hang while installing. I tryed again, but same thing
happen again.

Tryed uninstalling .NET Framework 1.1 from Add or Remove Programs.

I am getting following error

Internal error 2711. S867460

Now ASP.NET is not working on any of the web sites on the server.

I have done it with out any problem in Windows 2003 server. But failed
on Windows 2000.

I found in some forum that i have to disable IIS in service, then
restart the server and try installing. I tryed same. But i am still
getting the error.

Can anyone help ?

Stop the IIS Admin Service in your services list. Then run the 1.1 SP1. It should run then you can restart IIS Admin service and World Wide Web Plublishing(which gets stopped with the Admin Service).
