Installing new hdw.

Is it necessary to install VS2002 Pro before installing the upgrade VS2003
Pro set of CDs?

Rather not install VS2002 if not necessary.

Thks GW

Thks for the reply but...

Pro versions.

The CDs (VS2003) I purchased state that they are a special version for
owners of VS2002 (I am) so that's why the question. So yes there was an
upgrade for owners of VS2002. Or maybe it was a special price to go to
VS2003 from VS2002.

I did install VS2003 on a clean sys. It did ask for the VS2002 CDs for
verification, and installed OK after that.

Just wondered if I got everything as the VS2002 set is 4CDs + 1CD (component
update) and
VS2003 is 2CDs and the Prerequisite CD.

There is no upgrade for Visual Studio products. 2002 and 2003 should live side-by-side, and there is no requirement to install 2002 before installing 2003.

In short, 2003 should install by itself.

Hope this helps.

Sorry I don't take feature request for WinRes: it belongs to the .NET Framework SDK. I'm a consumer of WinRes, just like you...

I'm afraid that LocStudio (when you say LS, I assume you are using LocStudio) does not have the option, and WinRes does not remember its size and
location when it was shut down.
If you are trying to call it in your own application, you can always use ProcessWindowStyle.Maximized when you start the process.

It sounds like you don't have the MSDN CDs. What vendor did you get it from?

I followed up with some MS folks, and they said they can send you the MSDN CDs if you need them. Let me know how I can contact you seperately for the
shipping info.
