dotnet setup: Hello All,

I would like a copy of .NET 1.1 and SP1 in one installable package. All I
can find on the MS Downloads is .NET 1.1 and then a seperate package for
Service Pack 1. Can anyone point me in the dirrection of one package that
will install .NET 1.1 up to SP1 Level???

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for your response. I think I have cracked it now though.

I tried to run an extraction on the exe file for SP1... With this I managed
to obtain the msp from within it and apply the msp to the msi package from
the command line. My initial testing is showing me that this has been
successful as from one install I now have .NET Framework 1.1 with Service
Pack 1.

Kind Regards,

Danny Russell

As far as I know there is no such package. You will have to install the 1.1
package first and then the SP afterwards.

Danny, can you explain how you extracted the msp from the exe? Sounds like
you're doing exactly what I want to do! Thanks!
