Installing .NET 2.0 64-Bit Beta 2 on Itanium 2 Server -- dotnet setup

it requires Windows Installer 3.0.
the installer points to a download link. excellent!
unfortunately, the download available through the link is for x84 and 32-bit
only.

is there a standalone redistributeable Windows Installer 3.0 or 3.1 for IA64
servers
(Windows 2003)? do i have to install Windows 2003 SP1 (which includes WI
3.1) just to get WI 3.1?

After installing SP1, you should have Windows Installer 3. At least this is
the case with the X86 32-bit version of Windows Server 2003.
