dotnet web services: Hi there,

Just wanted to know before I go through the pain and suffering of writing a
prototype if it is possible for a 1.1 framework client to reference and
consume a web service using WSE3.0.

Thanks

NO. WSE 3.0 is not supported on 1.1 but depending on your requirement you
might be able to create .net 2.0 webservice and consume that in 1.1

Hi Vijay and thanks for the response. So does this mean you can only interact
with WSE3.0 based services from supported frameworks. Surely this means that
WSE 3.0 services can not truly be referred to as interopable.

Or am I missing something?

Thanks
Terry

There will always be a point where one has to deal with compatability,
interoperability issues. It is sometimes required and other time totally
avoided. The workaround in this case is to create a WSE 3.0 webservice on 2.0
framework and consume that in 1.1
