Beta 2 Dual Processor Problem????

dotnet windows forms:

My friend who sits next to me has a single cpu pc. He can edit the code in
the .net ide text editor with no problem. When I edit the exact same file
(after he cancels the check-out) my pc goes to 50% and just hangs for 3
minutes or so. I have tried everything to figure this out but the only
difference I see is single versus dual processors.

here I have an intel dual core...
(not exactly a dual processor, but quite similar, shows 2 processor in the
TaskManager) and I have no problem.
